Advanced Placement Course Information

As you know, Advanced Placement (AP) courses are rigorous, college-level courses. As such, they may require additional materials (online code, books, etc.) along with highly qualified “AP-Ready” teachers. Any additional materials needed for AP courses have been recommended and approved by the College Board. All additional materials will be provided to enrolled students as either a code to access the ebook (most cases) or either, as a printed textbook. In order for students to secure their spot in the an AP course and receive any required additional materials, they must:

  1. Start actively taking their course within 7 days after they are enrolled
  2. Complete at least 5% of their course within the first 2 weeks
  3. Respond by email to their teacher, their desire to take and complete this course, along with their plans regarding taking the AP exam

On occasion, during the first 2 weeks of the student’s course, there may be an assignment that requires reading from an additional resource. If this happens, communicate this to your teacher and they will send you or grant access to you, this needed reading material.
